For this project, the challenge was in updating an established product to attract new audiences. Corner tables are always useful, but dark brown furniture can look old and dated, even when the condition is good. Using a washable, matt, furniture paint in a fresh modern colour of French Grey brought the piece up to date in keeping with modern decor, while the antique gold effects highlighted the delicate detail.

This small floral A-frame easel is a lovely delicate item which will happily stand on its own or can be used to showcase a favourite picture. The winding mechanism serves to lift or lower the shelf to suit. Painted in Mole's Breath, a soft grey by Farrow & Ball and finished with Natural pure orange oil wood polish.

Continuing with the feather collection,   I decided that these ornaments would look good all year round so have set a selection of them into decorated resin coasters. Any colour or style can be made on request, in addition to those in stock, and one or more can be grouped together for more impact or as a centre piece.

This versatile semi-transparent little box can be used to hold a set of 6 matching square coasters, up to 2 packs of playing cards, or whatever else you care to think of!
